Personally owned metals
Gold and silver.
Value, considered.
Considering selling gold or silver bullion or coins you own outside an IRA? Begin with the pieces you may sell, including part of a larger holding.
A little detail goes a long way
What to note
about your holdings.
You do not need to know everything. Clear details and clearly noted uncertainties are a useful place to start.
-
The product
Is it gold or silver, a coin or a bar? Include the product name, mint or refiner if you know it.
-
The quantity
Record the number of pieces and the weight marked on each item as separate details. Keep the units shown, and list different products separately.
-
The visible markings
Include marked weight and purity, plus any packaging or grading details you have. If a marking is unclear, say so rather than guessing.
What we buy
Gold and silver.
Bullion and coins.
Our focus is gold and silver bullion and coins, including bars and coins held personally or in an IRA. Jewelry is outside our service scope.
For a mixed holding, list each product separately. If you cannot identify an item, describe its visible markings and note what is uncertain.
Understand the processBefore you begin
A few useful
answers.
What if I do not know the exact product?
Describe what you can identify: metal, coin or bar, quantity and visible markings. Mark anything uncertain so it can be clarified later.
Can I include several different coins or bars?
Yes. List each product and its quantity separately in your description. A product list is clearer than a combined weight without product details.
Are IRA-held metals included?
Yes. IRA-held gold and silver bullion and coins are included in our services. Keep their records separate from personally held items because the custodian context matters.
